PaulAndre Katz has a wide range of charitable interests in Chicago and the state of
Illinois. His involvements and donations to these institutions reflect his commitment
to the state and its citizens. The
American Cancer Society is an important part of Katz’ philanthropic efforts.
The ACS is a voluntary health consortium in the United States which has
dedicated its efforts toward wiping out cancer.
Founded during a time when the word cancer was not used in public, the
Society dedicated its first efforts toward a public writing campaign to educate
the public.

articles written for magazines, journals and monthly bulletins. By 1938 volunteers in the cancer control
movement had grown to 150,000. The American Cancer Society today works to
provide grants to cancer researchers while still dispensing information and education

Andre Katz provides financial support to the Ann & Robert H. Lurie
Children’s Hospital of Chicago. A
pediatric specialty facility, the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital
staffs more than 1200 physicians and 4000 employees. The Hospital is ranked #1
on a regional basis.
